Introduction

Truly spectacular, the Amalfi coast is a unique destination where mountains meet the clear blue sea and vibrantly painted cliff-edge towns perch above the waves. This 30 mile stretch of coastline that curves around the Sorrentine Peninsula is one of the most exquisitely and dramatically picturesque destinations in the world. UNESCO recognized the unique beauty of the area in 1997 and listed it as a World Heritage Site, and when you arrive it will be clear why.

Everywhere you look is a photographer’s dream.  As soon as you arrive in Amalfi you will be seduced by the magical allure of the surrounding scenery, as well as the incredible homes. Villa rentals on the Amalfi Coast are some of the most luxurious and spectacular villas in Italy.

Popular with both locals and international travellers, many flock to the Amalfi coast to experience the golden beaches, coves with crystal-clear water, cliffside views, and exquisite fresh seafood dishes. From chic towns brimming with boutiques and tempting eateries to the haunting archaeological sites at Pompeii and Herculaneum, the Amalfi Coast has so much to offer.

Our luxury villas in Lake Como cater to every taste and requirement whilst all being unashamedly fabulous.  Whether you choose to stay in Amalfi, where you can rent a luxury villa boasting historic architecture, in Positano with its precariously perched and colourful houses dotting the coastline, or in a waterfront villa in Ravello, we will be sure to find the perfect Amalfi Coast villa rental for you and your group.

We don’t do ordinary here. We are a small team of experienced travel specialists, no request is too big or too small, so please do ask for our advice if you are planning to book a luxury villa on the Amalfi Coast.

Things to do

Best for sundowners

Il Pirata – This renowned venue in La Praia is carved into the cliff face, with roped platforms facing the huge expanse of the sea. It’s a spectacular view to be enjoyed for hours over food and drinks.

Le Sirenuse’s Champagne & Oyster Bar   Situated on a gorgeous terrace with breathtaking views over Positano, the Champagne & Oyster Bar Grill is an idyllic place to meet for an aperitif or two.

Arienzo Beach Club – Located on the beautiful Arienzo Beach Arienzo Beach Club is one of the most famous beach clubs in Positano, surrounded by the unspoilt Amalfi Coast nature.

Best restaurants

Zass at Il San Pietro – Boasting some of the most breathtaking views of all the Amalfi Coast, his Michelin-starred fine dining establishment uses locally sourced Italian ingredients in unconventional and inventive ways.

Rossellini’s at Palazzo Avino – The one Michelin Starred Rossellinis offers guests a taste of the best of Italian haute cuisine in a gorgeous atmosphere.

Da Adolfo Positano – To reach it you have to get a little boat from the port in Positano. The restaurant serves local fish in the most stunning location right on the beach – it doesn’t get much better than this. We recommend booking early as it is very popular!

Best Beaches

Marina Piccola – This small beach is located on the Southeastern part of Capri and is a natural, protected harbour. There are three beach clubs nearby too, perfect for long lunches and a cold glass of wine.

Marina Grande – One of the best-known beaches in Positano. Backed by the colourful houses of Positano, the Marina Grande beach of Positano is the perfect place to spend a few hours in the sun and enjoy a cool drink.

Vietri Sul Mare – Known as Marina di Vietri, this is one of the few sandy beaches along the Amalfi Coast.

Best for exploring

Walk the Path of the Gods   It is a naturalistic path on the Lattari mountains that runs along the entire coastline for 7 km, and on the clearest days, you can admire all of the Amalfi Coast.

Hire a boat – Discover more of the enchanting coastline of the Amalfi Coast whilst on a private boat, allowing you to visit new towns and beaches.

Valle Delle Ferriere – Lovers of natural landscapes should not miss a visit to this unspoiled natural oasis, home to tropical vegetation, as well as waterfalls and springs.

Amalfi Coast essential visit

Visit the Blue Grotto in Capri by private boat – Sitting above an underwater crevice, the cave’s water is illuminated by sunlight shining through below, creating vibrant blue tones.

When to Visit

The Amalfi Coast is a good year-round luxury villa destination. The winter is quiet but much more dramatic with rougher seas and unpredictable weather. The best time to visit is during the hot summer months when towns are buzzing with constant activity. Spring and Autumn are also wonderful times to visit, with fewer crowds and it tends to be more pleasant in temperature.

Getting Here

The closest airport to the Amalfi Coast is Naples International Airport.

Hiring a car isn’t recommended during the summer months as the traffic can be quite bad – a taxi is a great option or a chauffeur who will be familiar with the roads.  Please do ask our team if you would like us to organise a private driver service for you.

We recommend hiring a boat for the day to explore some of the more of the local villages. Just let us know what you’d like to do and our team will be able to organise something extra special.

Our website offers a small flavour of the many houses we work with and some of our owners prefer to remain anonymous.

So simply get in touch to find the villa that perfectly matches your criteria.
